International expansion is not simply about exporting equipment or opening offices in different parts of the world. Its true value lies in building a global presence capable of delivering highly specialised engineering expertise and local support wherever customers need it most. At Protech Continental Group, with more than 25 years of experience designing, manufacturing and distributing pumping solutions, we understand that every market requires an approach tailored to its specific operational challenges.

With this vision in mind, our international expansion has continued to move forward over recent years. In Europe, we strengthened our local presence through the establishment of a dedicated Customer Centre in Estonia under Kronoa Northern Europe OÜ,enhancing responsiveness and technical support across Northern and Western Europe. At the same time, the sustained growth and maturity of our operations in South America have led to another key strategic milestone: the transformation of our former Chilean subsidiary into Kronoa Latam.

From local subsidiary to a specialised regional hub

Several years ago, we entered the Andean market through the creation of Protech Continental Chile. Over time, the company naturally evolved into a specialist supplier of critical pumping technologies, with a particular focus on progressive cavity pumps.. As demand increased, technical projects expanded beyond Chile into Argentina and other Latin American markets.

We recognised that delivering maximum value to industrial facilities, biogas plants and wastewater treatment plants throughout the region required more than a conventional commercial structure. The next logical step was to build a fully specialised organisation dedicated to this technology.

The transition to Kronoa Latam is therefore part of a strategy focused exclusively on the supply, engineering support and service of progressive cavity pumps manufactured under the Kronoa Engineered Solutions brand. This evolution transforms the Chilean operation into a strategic regional hub providing comprehensive support throughout Central and South America.

Kronoa Latam: local presence, strong after-sales support and engineering excellence

The creation of Kronoa Latam is built around two key objectives that directly address the needs of plant managers and maintenance professionals:

  • Closer to our customers: By removing geographical and time-zone barriers, we provide close, responsive and personalised support throughout every stage of local engineering projects, from specification to implementation.
  • Robust technical and after-sales service: Our regional structure is designed to deliver on-site technical assistance, expert engineering advice, rapid availability of genuine spare parts and responsive maintenance support, helping customers minimise costly unplanned downtime.

Kronoa progressive cavity pumps are specifically engineered for the most demanding industrial applications. Whether operating in wastewater treatment plants, biogas facilities or handling highly viscous industrial fluids, these severe-duty processes require mechanically robust, reliable pumping equipment capable of ensuring continuous operation.
With the launch of
Kronoa Latam as our regional hub, we ensure that the manufacturing excellence behind every Kronoa pump is matched by the same high standard of engineering expertise, technical support and after-sales service across the entire Latin American region.

Through this strategic evolution, Protech Continental Group further reinforces its position as a trusted international engineering partner, committed to understanding the operational requirements of every installation, delivering reliable pumping solutions where performance matters most, and helping customers maintain continuous, efficient operation throughout both Europe and Latin America.
