At Protech Continental, we are committed to the challenge we face as a society to advance the decarbonisation of energy in industry, transport and society in general.
For this reason, we have been working for years to provide the best equipment for urban, industrial, agricultural and livestock waste treatment facilities so that renewable gases, especially biogas and biomethane, can make a significant contribution to the goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. This is a very ambitious but absolutely necessary goal that Europe and its member states have set for themselves.
In the specific case of Spain, the potential for biogas generation is enormous. According to the Gas for Climate 2022 study, Spain ranks third in biogas generation. Faced with this challenge as such an important country, Protech Continental has added to its consolidated range of pumping, agitation and grinding equipment, the representation of tanks and anaerobic digesters for these organic waste recovery plants.

Engineering and Technical Advice
We have a specialised engineering department that works closely with our clients from the initial design phase through to final implementation.
We provide technical advice at all stages of the development process to ensure that each project meets the highest quality standards, optimising both its functionality and operational efficiency. In addition, we design and customise auxiliary elements according to the specific needs of each project, such as ladders, flanges, manholes, walkways, peepholes, positive/negative pressure protectors, heating and insulation systems, among others.

Turnkey Assembly
At Protech Continental, we understand that proper installation of tanks and digesters is essential to ensuring the success of every project.
That is why we offer a comprehensive turnkey assembly service. Our team of mechanical technicians and assemblers is responsible for organising and executing all stages of the installation process, from unloading the material to final commissioning.
This includes detailed planning, equipment transport, tank and digester assembly, installation of agitation systems, and any other necessary components.
By choosing our turnkey service, our customers can rest assured that the entire process will be carried out efficiently and professionally, without the need to coordinate multiple suppliers or deal with logistical complications. We ensure that every step is carried out in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
Digester Cleaning
Poor agitation, as well as the sedimentation of sand and residues over the years, reduces the efficiency of the digester and therefore biogas production.
This requires periodic cleaning of the digester, which usually involves considerable losses depending on the time required for the operation. With our BioCrush & Biopress system, we can work continuously at around 50-60 m³/h, drastically reducing the downtime of the digester, as we carry out the complete cleaning in 1 to 2 weeks.
The extracted residue is shredded and can be taken to the plant head, to the sand separator channels or directly to dehydration. As it is shredded residue, it will not cause clogging problems for pumps or subsequent dehydration systems.
