Transfer of waste water between lagoons in Girona

Protech Continental has been the company awarded the waste water transfer service between lagoons, in a facility operated by the Suez group, in a town of Girona. The project was successfully executed by our specialized technical team within the Protech Rental Services program.
Protech Rental Services.

Efficient and smooth transfer

A 110 hp diesel centrifugal pump with a pumping capacity of up to 850 m 3/h was used to carry out the transfer of 50,000 m3 of waste water. This solution allowed to evacuate the required volume in just two days, thus facilitating scheduled maintenance tasks on the target raft.

In order to maximize pumping efficiency and reduce pressure losses, a double suction manifold was installed, optimizing the performance of the system under real working conditions.

Pump solutions available for rent

This type of intervention demonstrates the versatility and responsiveness of the Protech Continental pump rental service Our equipment is available with diesel or electric engines, with or without generator set, and always with a comprehensive service of assembly, disassembly, commissioning and maintenance throughout the rental period.

In addition to high capacity centrifugal pumps as used in this project, we have a wide range of pumping equipment adapted to different needs and flow rates.

Guide to pumps for a biogas plant: types and applications in anaerobic digestion

In a biogas plant, choosing the right pumping technology is essential to maintain a continuous flow, prevent blockages and reduce costly downtime. Not all pumps handle sludge, silage, manure or solids-laden digestate in the same way, and this directly affects the reliability of the installation. The right pump does more than simply move the product: it protects the process, stabilises operation and helps the anaerobic digestion process perform as required.
